IMPLANT CONTINUUM
oCTOBER 17-October 19, 2024
COURSE OVERVIEW
-
It would be advantageous for attendees to have at least a few years of dental practice experience and to have placed some (10-20) implants. This will ensure they can fully understand and implement the moderate to advanced techniques taught.
The course content is tailored to those already comfortable with basic dental surgeries but want to further their capabilities with more complex and technology-driven procedures.
However, any dentist can greatly gain from learning the protocols and techniques we will cover. (Regenerative materials, increasing positive clinical outcomes, DIGITAL SCANNING to restore implants & effective lab communication, reduced chair time, etc). There is also the benefit of observing the other live surgeries, assessment of patients & treatment planning.
All attending doctors will perform a pre-planned surgery appropriate to their level of experience.
After registering, we will set up a 15-30-minute call to review your background and get to know you better!
-
We highly encourage you to bring a clinical assistant or practice director who can train the rest of your staff on proper aseptic and sterile techniques, proper care of implant components & Magnetic Mallet, and learning to scan implant restorations.
It will also encourage your team to promote your educational investment in patient-centric care and improve any internal marketing efforts you may already have in place at your office.

Each doctor is encouraged to submit a case for us to review with Dr. Joubert!
Incorporating your case may be a good fit, however, due to the strict screening protocols we follow, an adequate assessment is needed to clear participants into the course. In order to incorporate your cases into the live-surgical portion of our implant continuum we need adequate notice and a thorough history to coordinate the best care possible.
-
You will not need to obtain a temporary license, however, we will need to verify your credentials and insurance coverage before placing implants in our course.
You will receive an email with a checklist after registration.

Participants must Schedule a Virtual Case Selection & Digital Planning with Dr. Frederick Joubert at least 1 week before the course.
We start with a detailed assessment of the patient’s oral and systemic conditions, the implant treatment plan will then be developed from the integration of the various available data into the digital workflow (CBCT, intraoral scan, FMX, full work-up). Participants will be provided with a detailed ‘plan of action’ for their surgical case, as well as an overview of the protocols to atraumatically extract teeth, perform crestal sinus lift if appropriate, and place implants in post-extractive sites (or healed ridges) using Osseotouch’s Magnetic Mallet.
OBJECTIVES:
Comprehensive review of the patient’s medical history
Anatomical concerns for case selection
Understanding diagnostic procedures & surgical/restorative treatment planning with active participation of attendees
Learn indications for immediate, early, and late implant placement and different loading protocols
Become familiar with digital workflow in surgical and prosthetic aspects
Digital imaging and digital surgical planning
Become familiar with Magnetic Mallet protocols for various techniques, as needed and based on patient/case
Understand indications for sinus floor elevation and approaches vs. the use of shorter implants
After the planning session, the participant will take a quiz to assert proficiency in the topics covered.
